Nicole Mata is the visionary force behind Delamata Designs—a studio built on creativity, intention, and the belief that great design tells a personal story. With over two decades of experience spanning interiors, events, retail, and digital design, Nicole brings a rare blend of artistic insight and practical expertise to every project she touches.

Growing up in Arlington, Virginia, just outside the vibrant cultural hub of Washington, DC, Nicole was drawn early to the power of visual storytelling. That passion led her to New York City, where she earned a double major from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, and Display & Exhibit Design. It was there she discovered her true calling: transforming spaces into experiences.

Nicole's career began in the fast-paced world of retail display, where she quickly gained recognition for her sophisticated eye and creative vision. She designed visual environments for household names like Nordstrom and Crate & Barrel, mastering the art of balancing brand identity with customer experience. Her talent for spatial storytelling caught the attention of a prominent event planner, leading her to design for Broadway premieres, celebrity events, and corporate galas that demanded both style and precision.

With a growing desire to merge her varied passions into one cohesive practice, Nicole founded Delamata Designs—a full-service creative studio that reflects her multidisciplinary background and client-first philosophy. Today, she works with homeowners, entrepreneurs, organizations, and clients to plan special events, create interiors, and design celebrations, as well as graphic elements—including branding, custom invitations, signage, and visual collateral—that are as thoughtful as they are beautiful.
