Nicole Mata is the visionary force behind Delamata Designs—a creative studio built on artistry, intention, and the belief that exceptional design tells a deeply personal story. With over two decades of experience spanning interiors, events, retail, and digital design, Nicole brings a rare blend of creative insight and practical expertise to every project she leads.

Raised in Arlington, Virginia, just outside Washington, DC, Nicole was drawn early to the power of visual storytelling. That passion brought her to New York City, where she earned a double major from the Fashion Institute of Technology in Fashion Merchandising & Marketing and Display & Exhibit Design. It was there she discovered her true calling: transforming spaces into immersive, memorable experiences.

Nicole’s career began in retail display, designing visual environments for industry leaders like Nordstrom and Crate & Barrel, where she mastered the art of aligning brand identity with customer experience. Her talent for spatial storytelling soon led her to high-profile event design, where she created visual concepts for Broadway premieres, celebrity celebrations, and corporate galas that demanded both artistry and precision.

Driven to merge her varied skills into one cohesive practice, Nicole founded Delamata Designs—a full-service studio offering event planning, interior styling, and graphic design. Today, she partners with homeowners, entrepreneurs, and organizations to create interiors, celebrations, and branded visuals—including custom invitations, signage, and collateral—that are as thoughtful as they are beautiful.
